Clair Bremner Acrylic on canvas workshops another session coming soon
Join us for an amazing painting workshop with Clair Bremner,
You will create your own large expressive floral paining in acrylic. Choose one or two full days.
This workshop is designed to help you loosen up your acrylic painting and to have fun. You will learn about composition, colour mixing, how to build up a painting using layers and negative space, as well as using simple brushstrokes to create several different floral shapes.
Materials to bring.
We will have some brushes, water pots, palettes, easels and paints available but please bring the following:
Acrylic paint: Any professional quality brand is fine (eg Matisse, Atilier, Liquitex, Golden etc) but you will need at least one medium tube of each of the following colours. If you can’t get the exact colour then substitute for something close, the idea is to have at least one cool blue, warm blue, cool yellow, warm yellow, cool red, warm red and white. The colour you will use the most is white so bring plenty. (You will achieve better results if you invest in better quality paint, I prefer Matisse Heavy Body Acrylic)
Phthalo Blue, Cerulean Blue, Prussian Blue, Magenta, Napthol Crimson, Cadmium Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Titanium White.
One canvas approx 70cmx100cm (doesn’t need to be exactly that size, just close enough)
Brushes- A few small soft round brushes. A selection of flat, soft acrylic brushes of various sizes. As long as you have at least a 1”, 2” and 4” you will be fine
An easel if you have one.
Coffee Tea, and light refreshments provided, please bing your own lunch.
